Crystal Palace Gardens: an escape from the city

It is one of the most beautiful places in Porto and some say it is the lungs of the city. The garden was designed at the end of the 19th century by the architect Emille David. The name, Crystal Palace, is attributed  by the building built on site, around the same time, but that was later destroyed in 1956, and replaced by Rosa Mota Pavilion.
