If you like culture a visit to Rua
Miguel Bombarda is essential. This artery expands for 650 metres, between
Rua de Cedofeita and Rua da Boa Nova. It is the ideal place to see the more modern
side of Porto.
It is one of the most beautiful places in Porto and some say it
is the lungs of the city. The garden was designed at the end of the 19th
century by the architect Emille David. The name, Crystal Palace, is
attributed by the building built on
site, around the same time, but that was later destroyed in 1956, and replaced
by Rosa Mota Pavilion.
